Vanquish Fat Reduction

What is the Vanquish Procedure?

The Vanquish system is a non-invasive, non-contact technology that selectively heats adipose tissue to reduce fat, while the surrounding tissue remains unaffected. The result is a safe and natural decrease in the adipose tissue layer. Vanquish ME (Maximum Energy) is an efficacious procedure for those looking to eliminate belly fat, love handles, inner and outer thigh fat without surgery.

How Does the Vanquish Procedure Work?

The Vanquish delivers energy based on the impedance of adipose tissue. The device constantly adjusts energy delivery in order to induce and maintain homogeneous heating of the tissue. Fat cells have lower conductivity than the surrounding tissue such as skin and muscles. The Vanquish is able to selectively heat the fat cells (adipocytes). Once the adipocytes reach therapeutic temperature, the adipocytes will become apoptotic.

What is apoptosis?

Apoptosis is the process of eliminating fat cells. Fat cells are vulnerable to the effects of selective heating. Controlled local tissue heating can induce selective fat cell reduction and subsequent loss of subcutaneous fat without damaging other tissue layers.

How is the Vanquish treatment performed?

After the patient is positioned comfortably, the applicator is placed over the treatment area. This is a non-contact procedure, therefore, the device does not come in direct contact with the patient. Once the treatment begins the device measures the impedance of the tissue and begins to tune to the adipose tissue. Patient response and tuning are monitored throughout the treatment. The abdomen/belly and love handles (the midsection) are treated for 45 minutes. The inner and outer thighs are treated for 30 minutes each leg.

What results can my patients expect to see?

After a series of four to six treatments, clinical studies demonstrate that the Vanquish procedure produces consistent visible and measurable results.

What are the common side effects after the procedure?

Patients are able to return immediately to their daily routine. Side effects are minimal and transient and include mild redness, warmth, and tissue tenderness. These side effects may last minutes up to a few days post treatment.

Who is a suitable candidate for treatment?

The Vanquish is for patients who have areas of unwanted fat.
