Keep these three things in mind as you consider injectable treatments: Your face is unique. Injecting with Botox and fillers is both an art and a science. We insist and guarantee that you get fresh Botox and Xeomin every single time.

What is Botox and is it safe?

Botox is a purified protein derived from the bacterium, Clostridium Botulinum. Using a tiny micro-needle, a very small amount of Botox is injected, very precisely, into several locations on the face typically the vertical lines between your eyebrows, forehead lines, and lines at the corners of your eyes (crow’s feet). Botox injections have been used safely and effectively for over sixteen years. Millions of treatments have been performed since its FDA approval in 2002.

What is Xeomin?

Xeomin is the neurotoxin used in Europe for many years before it was FDA approved for use in the U.S. Xeomin undergoes additional purification to shed accessory proteins on the outside. The treatment goals and injection technique are the same as with Botox. Patients have options and may choose based on their preference.

How long does the procedure take?

Following the consultation, the actual procedure takes less than 15 minutes. Since there is no downtime – you can do it at lunchtime – and no one would know you had it done!

How does Botox work?

BOTOX is injected into a targeted facial expression muscle, blocking impulses from the nerve to the muscle, thereby relaxing the muscle so it does not contract. This causes the overlying skin to become smoother, with fewer lines and wrinkles. After treatment, the skin remains smooth and unwrinkled, while the untreated facial muscles contract in a normal fashion, allowing normal facial expression and feeling to be unaffected.

How quickly will I see results?

Botox usually starts relaxing the treated area within several days, but the full effect may not be realized for two weeks.

How long will Botox last?

The effects last between 3-4 months on average but everyone is different. You may follow a schedule to have the first 3 treatments precisely at 12 weeks and the next two treatments precisely at 16 weeks. Typically patients who follow this treatment schedule begin to need less Botox and they increase the time between treatments.

Injectable Facial Fillers

The application of any facial filler is as much an art as it is science. The choice of filler also depends on the skin type and desired look of the patient.

Hyaluronic Acid Gel, such as Restylane® Juvederm® and Belotero®, is injected as filler for attenuating skin folds and wrinkles, and for soft tissue augmentation such as lip plumping.Hyaluronic acid is a naturally occurring substance that gives soft tissue its bulk and “feel”. Restylane® and Belotero® are synthetic substance, with a very low risk of causing allergic reactions. Juvaderm® is extracted and purified from biologic sources. These materials are gradually reabsorbed, with a cosmetic result that can last a few months to a year.

RADIESSE® consists of tiny calcium-based microspheres that form a “scaffold” to support and stimulate the growth of your own collagen. Over time, the calcium-based microspheres gradually break down and are safely and naturally absorbed by your body. RADIESSE® rebuilds your skin’s foundation without the risks associated with a permanent implant. Results can last 9 to 15 months.

We will help you choose the right filler that best fits your skin type and meets your needs, when you come in for a free consultation.
